Medicinal Aromatherapy:
A precise way of working with your nervous system using scent.
It’s direct.
Subtle.
Immediate.
We’re not choosing oils based on trends or general benefits.
We’re paying attention to how your system responds—what shifts, what opens, what doesn’t.
A scent can change how you feel in a moment.
It can also bring something into awareness that hasn’t had words yet.
My background as a psychotherapist shapes how I work with aromatherapy.
I’m not just looking at symptoms.
I’m tracking patterns—what’s happening in your body, and what’s happening underneath it.
This means we’re not trying to override what you’re experiencing.
We’re working with it.
The oils become part of that process—something we can use to support regulation, access, and integration.
Formulation, in my work, is not generic.
It’s specific to you.
In a session, we explore different oils together and notice what happens.
Some feel grounding.
Some bring clarity.
Some don’t fit at all.
That information matters.
We follow what your system responds to—not what should work.
I often know which oil is needed.
I’ll offer it—and we pay attention to how your system responds.
From there, we may layer them over time or create a blend when there’s a clear reason for it.
You can continue working with them between sessions, letting the relationship build over time.
People come to this work for different reasons.
Sometimes something feels off, and you can’t name it.
Sometimes your system feels overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck.
Sometimes your body isn’t settling, no matter what you try.
There can also be more specific entry points—hormonal shifts, sleep disruption, recovery after illness or surgery, or ongoing physical symptoms that don’t fully resolve.
Aromatherapy can support the nervous system in a way that is both immediate and cumulative.
This work is grounded in discernment.
I use a small number of high-quality therapeutic grade oils and pay close attention to how they’re sourced and made.
Not everything that smells good is therapeutic.
Not everything marketed as “healing” is appropriate.
We choose carefully.
Over time, the oils become something you’re in relationship with—not something you’re using to fix yourself.
Initial sessions are 90 minutes.
We take time to explore what’s going on for you and how your system responds to different oils.
From there, I create something tailored for you to work with.
Follow-up sessions can support shifts as your needs change.
