Ancestral Healing

When we start to look at patterns in our lives, there often comes a point where it’s clear they didn’t begin with us.

This work is about tracing those patterns back — into family, lineage, and the systems we come from — so they can be understood, felt, and worked with in your present life.

Sometimes these patterns show up as dynamics that repeat in relationships, reactions that feel disproportionate, or experiences that don’t fully make sense in your own story.

How this work unfolds:

We begin by mapping your family system — creating a genogram together over time.

This helps organize what may not have ever been named clearly:
relationships, ruptures, losses, dynamics, and the threads that connect them.

As we do this, patterns often become very clear.

At times, something else also begins to emerge —
a felt sense, an image, a knowing, or something that doesn’t quite fit into language but is still meaningful.

We stay in relationship with both:
what is concrete and what is less easily explained.

From there, the work may move into a more imaginal space —
a kind of inner process or journey where you can come into relationship with your lineage in a different way.

My role is to stay grounded with you in that —
so that whatever arises can be integrated, rather than overwhelming or abstract.

This work can support you to:

  • understand & shift patterns that feel bigger than your individual experience

  • make sense of relational dynamics that repeat across time

  • work with inherited trauma, grief, or roles within a family system

  • feel less alone in what you carry

It can also open a different relationship to your lineage —
including connection to support, resources, or meaning that may not have been accessible before—including connection to support, resources, or meaning that may not have been accessible before.

A note on the nature of this work:

This is not purely cognitive work.

And it’s not something I approach casually.

There are moments in this process that can feel precise and grounded,
and others that move into less familiar territory.

We don’t force that.

We follow what’s happening, at a pace your system can hold.

Sessions and pacing:

This work tends to unfold over time. For many people, it emerges naturally within ongoing therapeutic work, when the timing is right.

A single session is 60 minutes, which gives us time to track both the structure of your lineage and what is unfolding in real time.

Some people come for a focused period of work. Others return to this over time.

I know this kind of work can ask a lot.

If you’re here, there’s usually already a sense of that.

I’ll meet you there — with care, clarity, and respect for both you and what you come from.
